Our building is now one hundred years old; come share history with us.

Whistle Stop Laundromat

Located in the heart of downtown in this historical building Whistle Stop is a meeting place for friends. People traveling in the area stop by to wash their clothes and meet some locals. Equipped with an extra large washing machine many stop by to do their blankets and comforters. Open daily stop by to play a video game, chat with friends, and check out the community board, a favorite for locating hard to find services.

G & G Dogs

Gail, the hot dog lady, is always a delight to talk with. Many local business people make this their regular lunch stop. Those visiting the Laundromat find this a great way to stretch their time while waiting for the clothes to cycle. Gail has a table outside and a booth arrangement inside. The best all beef hot dogs and beer baron smoked polish is stopping for and the price it is right too. Enjoy a “dog” at G & G Dogs where their motto is “we let the dogs out.”

The Old Time Barber Shop

Just a couple of doors down is the Old Time Barber Shop. Sherry and Denny are the barbers. Here tell, that Denny learned to cut hair when in the US Military. Always a great place to catch up on what is happening in the town cuts are just $8. Closed Sundays and Mondays. This special meeting place is located in the IOOF building, another historical landmark. If you want to learn the character of our town this is the place you need to visit. Stories change with the seasons but the old timers are always around. Not only is this the best place to get a haircut in town but the only barbershop in the county.
